MISSION 3: WHT RESEARCH FARM, UGANDA
The Living Hope Outreach Ministry is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization serving orphans, widows, and the aged and disabled with basic needs. It is located in the Eastern part of Uganda, Luuka district, Namalemba village.
Living Hope has teamed with World Hunger Team to establish a permanent “Lost Crops of Africa” Research Farm. The goal of the facility is to testing rare and heirloom seed varieties from across Africa. We will utilize our advanced agricultural techniques to develop innovative natural ways to feed and nurture each specific crop for maximum yield, taste and nutritional value.
To accomplish this, we have an immediate opportunity to purchase 6 acres of land near the orphanage. Our goal is to develop an agricultural institution that will lead to better crop choices – with maximum output – that will feed and employ people for many years to come.

The soil in Uganda is rich and loamy – but very nutrient poor and chock-full of nematodes (worms) that eat the plant roots. We are working to overcome these obstacles naturally – with no man-made chemicals.
